At Bow on Top, we excel in capturing the best of a city in a memorable gift suite. When Google Fiber approached us to design six different metropolitan-themed gifts, we set out to curate something that would feel creative, elevated, and unique to each market while tying it all back to the Google Fiber brand values of cohesion and connection.
We worked alongside Google Fiber’s Webpass team to create elevated custom gift suites featuring six different cities, including Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco, San Diego, Denver, and Miami. Our Taste of Kansas City has been a best-selling in-house gift for years, so the custom gifting expertise was there; we just needed to tailor it to each metro area’s tastes and style. The team was also specific about wanting a gift that would be treasured and filled with a mix of treats and keepsake items. From the start, we were designing gifts with quiet branding and color matching throughout. The Google Fiber brand is strong, but the thoughtful touch of a custom gift design is even stronger.
The Bow on Top team worked with over 150 new vendors to tailor a taste of each city in a gift suite. We curate our gift boxes with goodies from small and independent businesses, and this project was no different. We worked with local favorites from each metro area, bringing together coffee roasters, chocolate makers, candle pourers, and artisans of all kinds. The Custom Taste of Chicago in iconic shades of blue featured even more iconic Windy City faves like Garrett’s popcorn mix, Carol’s Cookies, and non-profit Bright Endeavors. The Custom Taste of Seattle leaned on its rich culture of coffee and chocolate, and highlighted female-owned and chef-owned businesses. San Diego’s Custom Taste Gift Box shines with sweet favorites and flavors like Nora’s Baklava, California Crisps, seasoning from Sauce Goddess, Golden State seasoning from Day Break Seaweed, and the luxury popcorn from The Art of Caramel. Just up the coastline, San Francisco’s Custom Taste Gift Box highlighted cozy nods to this region with Tallio’s Coffee, Charles Chocolate, Che Fico (and their Calabrian chili oil), and handmade Fortune Cookies. The Custom Taste of Miami included flavors and favorites from the metro with Cuban Coffee, Crafted House’s Habanero Gold Jam, Exquisito’s Chocolates, and melt-away cookies and granola from Zak the Baker. Denver’s Custom Taste Gift Box honored their locale with hand-painted stationery and included sweet treats like Snow Owl’s Bourbon Hot Fudge Sauce, RedCamper’s Tequila Jalapeno Preserves, Anellabees Honey Candies, a Denver-inspired Coffee Blend from Sweet Bloom, and a trail mix fit for the Denver natives.
Once assembled, we shipped out over 200 gift boxes to each city’s headquarters sites to allow each team lead to deliver the gifts in person to their respective gift recipients and clients. From warehouse to doorstep, Bow on Top believes in making corporate gifting effortless, and this Custom Taste Gift Box project for Google Fiber Webpass was another chance for us to share our expertise and show how impactful gifting can be.
